Update, more pictures, skin is dying!

Hey everyone, this is Ericka blogging for Lisa... just took a few pictures of her progress. Looks pretty gross but I hear it's supposed to look like this?? I know her doctors look at the blog, so hopefully they'll let us know if we need to come in. Lisa is doing well, just swollen and sore. Please keep her healing in your prayers!

Well you think?? It looks like all that skin is falling off, but is that normal?? Doctors chime in!

Really I think this is supposed to happen, this is that area of necrotic tissue that is going to die and fall off. I know, I am worried too, but so far no smell and no signs of infection so.... I don't know.

Ok still laughing at the rotting banana and black mulch comparisons. Way to be sensitive Andrea!

Lisa, call your doctor friend and ask them to look at your blog.

Andrea called me to look at your blog for an update. I was drinking my coffee and just about to eat my eggo and a banana. Well the banana comment Andrea wrote did me in and I pitched the banana in the trash. Blog people, please don't refer to the likeness of Lisa's Leg to fruits ad veggies. We need a Doc's opinion here. Is this NORMAL. It looks uky!!
Lisa call me if you need anything sweetie.

Lisa, Dr. Patel said it would turn black, that is the dead tissue. Keep it clean, we may have to do some wound cleaning when you come in to see if we can sluff off that tissue but don't worry. Make sure you finish the antibiotics and I'll see you in a week. I kow it looks bad but don't worry. I will convey to Dr. Patel Monday.

Lisa, also when you dress your wound, put a wet 4 x 4 on it then wrap it. This will let the dead tissue stick to the wound and when you go to pull it off it will take some of the dead tissue off with it. This is a good way to get some of the dead skin off. Amy

OMG!! Lisa, this is great news from the nurse but, I gotta tell ya honey, it looks terrible. Can you get smaller dogs from now on? Bless your heart. I'm so sorry you are having to go thru this. Take care of yourself!
