Bummer

I changed the dressing on my leggie and although the treatment seems to have taken the "mound" out of the wound it does not appear any smaller...I know that it will take some time to shrink it. I am realistic about it. I kept that thing attached to me at work, at home, day and night, 23 hrs out of the day fsince Monday, I changed the dressing on Thursday... I gotta tell you...it was so gross to see all of the fluid draining in the tubes at work! At home...I don't really care but it was the looks from other people that get me.

Heres the problem.... Just like before...I have an allergic reaction to the adhesive in the bandages or the film that covers the wound to create the seal...right now the surrounding tissue is covered in painful blisters and it is beet red...it hurts like a s.o.b. and itches like crazy! I have to get that cleared up before I can continue this course of treatment... I think it will take less time if I got my hands on some silver nitrate sticks...that will eat away at the mound and allow the skin to grow over it as it flattens out. I am so over all this crap. Other than the gapping hole in my leg...life is peachy.

I love this...

Christians by Maya Angelou "A woman's heart should be so hidden in Christ that a man should have to seek Him first to find her." When I say... "I am a Christian" I'm not shouting "I'm clean livin'" I'm whispering "I was lost, Now I'm found and forgiven. When I say... "I am a Christian" I don't speak of this with pride. I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide. When I say... "I am a Christian" I'm not trying to be strong. I'm professing that I'm weak and need His strength to carry on. When I say... "I am a Christian" I'm not bragging of success. I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess. When I say... "I am a Christian" I'm not claiming to be perfect. My flaws are far too visible but, God believes I am worth it. When I say... "I am a Christian" I still feel the sting of pain.. I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name. When I say... "I am a Christian" I'm not holier than thou, I'm just a simple sinner Who received God's good grace, some how!........thanks Suzanne, I totally stole this from you myspace...you are awesome! L.

Home safe

Hey all, well we got back back safe and sound...I have to say it was an amazing trip! Andrea and I both learned so much. We learned that we travel well together, that I should always pick our hotels because I am great at it, that we LOVE this place called Texas Best Roadhouse ( a gas station but so much more) on the side of the road...at the Gladewater exit on I 20 east heading toward Shreveport. The bathrooms in the place are amazing. Not to mention all of the extreme education from the workshop its self. I like Ruston, everybody was so nice, everywhere we went everyone was Hello, and Good Mornin' just so sweet, kinda like a little Mayberry town...I think I could live in a place like Ruston ( Population 20,000...11,000 are college students at Louisiana Tech.) so it is pretty small. You have to go into a place like that with a support system, it would be incredibly hard to just drop into a town like that, where everyone knows everybody and definitely can spot a stranger! I sprained a neck or two up in there. We had a blast hanging with Brandi and she showed me around the college and the old historical parts of Ruston, that part is right up my alley! I think Brandi is "THE ROCKSTAR" there. She looked amazing as usual and the locals just stare like they ain't never seen nothing like that before. She just smiles and waves in her sweet lil Brandi way, so cute! Like I said we had a blast even though it was stinky weather there on Friday we made the best of it. I was worried about my doggies, especially Zeus, with all the bad weather we had here. I asked my dog sitter how he was doing the next day and she said he was fine...I knew he must have been terrified. I was right I got home and checked his hiding place, the closet. It was a mess, bless his heart he had made a big pile of clothes and moved everything around to make a big cacoon way in the back, poor thing. He just hid in there until it was over. My baby boy was so scared! I hate that. Overall it was a great road trip and I am so glad I went. I will upload some pics later...too tired to jack with all that right now. Gotta go love on my baby dog, Doodie.... Love y'all L.

Road Trip!!

I am going on a road trip with my BFF Andrea...we are going to Ruston Louisiana! We are going because she is meeting someone there and taking some classes. I am going and I am going to explore a new place. I did my research and just so happens there is this little festival going on while we are there called Downtown Delights. It features some local businesses and taste testings and some other stuff. I am planning on seeing a plantation or some historical stuff if I can squeeze it in. I think this is going to be a blast. I hope the weather holds out. We are expecting bad weather here so I have my doggie sitter (Poochie Mama aka Cindy) on call for my Zeus, he has bad anxiety in storms. I will post tons of pics when we get back!! I am hoping to find some Spanish moss covered trees to take some shots of. Love ya'll .....weeeeee Lisa
